Venezuelans are set to consume 7.25 thousand metric tons of goat meat by 2026, a drop of 1.5% year-on-year on average compared to the 8 thousand metric tons consumed in 2021. Since 2017, the demand for the meat has been stable, but South Korea overtook Venezuela in 2021 to become the 95th-ranked nation. India, Pakistan and Iran were the second, third and fourth-ranked countries respectively. Meanwhile, production of the meat in Venezuela is expected to decrease by 0.7% year-on-year to 8.84 thousand metric tons in 2026 from 9 thousand metric tons in 2021. The country’s supply has remained consistent since 2017 but Vietnam overtook them in 2021 to become the 87th-ranked nation. Australia, India and Pakistan were the second, third and fourth-ranked countries respectively.
