Goat Meat production in Lebanon is set to drop slightly over the next five years. In 2021, the country produced 10 thousand metric tons, putting it at number 83 in global rankings. This is a slight decrease from 2017, when production was down by 3.1%. Benin came in at number one, with 10 thousand metric tons. India, Pakistan, and Australia followed in second, third, and fourth place, respectively. Meanwhile, Lebanese consumption of goat meat is also expected to decrease, from 10 thousand metric tons in 2021 to 9 thousand metric tons by 2026. This is a 1.7% decrease year-on-year, with a 3.1% drop since 2017. Bulgaria took the top spot in 2021, with 10 thousand metric tons. India, Pakistan, and Iran followed in second, third, and fourth place, respectively.
