In 2021, Ecuador was ranked 69th in the world for rum exports, with Armenia taking the lead at $353 million. The United States, Italy and France were the next three in the ranking. Meanwhile, rum imports to Ecuador are expected to fall to $1.9 million by 2026. This is a decrease of 0.6% year on year on average since 1996, when imports rose 17.3%. In 2021, Ecuador was ranked 60th in the world for rum imports, with Paraguay taking the lead at $1.98 million. Italy, the United States and Spain were the next three in the ranking.
