The import and export of rum in the Netherlands is set to increase over the next five years. In 2021, Dutch rum imports reached nearly $90 million, with an average annual growth rate of 2% since 1997. Last year, France was at the top of the ranking with imports of around $90 million, followed by Italy, the United States and Spain. Meanwhile, Dutch rum exports are predicted to reach $80 million by 2026, with a 2.7% growth rate since 1997. The Dominican Republic was number one in 2021, with exports of around $67 million, followed by the United States, Italy and France.
