Platinum exports from Zimbabwe are projected to decrease by 1.8% per year on average, from $44 million in 2021 to $39 million in 2026. Since 2011, exports have fallen 2.8% year-on-year, and in 2021 the country was ranked 22nd. Poland was ahead of Zimbabwe with $44 million, and the United Kingdom, Russia and the United States were the second, third and fourth biggest exporters respectively. Meanwhile, imports of platinum into Zimbabwe are expected to rise by 2.4% per year on average, from $31 million in 2021 to $35 million in 2026. Since 2006, imports have jumped 28.9% year-on-year, and in 2021 the country was ranked 76th. Madagascar was ahead of Zimbabwe with $30 million, and Germany, Japan and the United Kingdom were the second, third and fourth biggest importers respectively.
