The UK, Russia, and the US followed in the rankings, in that order. Imports of platinum into Norway are projected to fall to $12 million by 2026, from $13 million in 2021. This would be an average year-on-year decrease of 2.1%. Since 1998, Norwegian demand for platinum has decreased by 1.7% every year. In 2021, Mexico overtook Norway, with imports totalling $13 million. Germany, Japan, and the UK followed in the rankings.
