Imports of platinum into Hungary dropped by 10.1% in 2021, to $250,000, down from $275,000 the year before. This marks an 8.9% decline since 1997. Egypt was the top importer in 2021, followed by Germany, Japan and the UK. Exports of platinum from Hungary are projected to fall 4.1% year-on-year, to $1.1 million by 2026. This follows a 7.4% decrease since 2000. Serbia was the biggest exporter in 2021, followed by the UK, Russia and the US.
