Pakistan’s imports of platinum plummeted 48% in 2018, falling from $23,440 to $12,180. This drop positioned the country at number 85 in the global ranking, just behind Bosnia and Herzegovina. Between 2008 and 2018, however, Pakistani demand for platinum grew 110%. Germany, Japan and the United Kingdom were the top three importers of platinum in 2018.
