Ghanaian cobalt imports plummeted by 51.5% in 2018, according to figures released this week. They fell to 10.16 kilograms, down from 20.94 kilograms in 2017. Since 2001, imports have decreased by 59.6%. Ghana was the 78th largest importer of cobalt in 2018, behind Uruguay, who imported 10.16 kg. Belgium, the United States, and Japan took the next three spots in the rankings.
