New Zealand's export of cobalt is set to reach 1,470 kilograms by 2026, a 2.9% year-on-year increase from 1,230 kilograms in 2021. Since 2013, the country's supply has grown by 2.2% year-on-year. Belarus was number one in 2021, followed by the United States, Russia, and China in second, third and fourth place respectively. In 2018, New Zealand's import of cobalt totalled 89.98 kilograms, down 73.4% from 2017's total of 338.4 kilograms. The country was ranked number 69 in 2018, with Bosnia and Herzegovina overtaking at 89.98 kilograms. Belgium, the United States, and Japan followed in second, third and fourth place respectively.
