Polish imports of cobalt are predicted to drop three percent annually over the next five years, reaching 17,520 kilograms by 2026. In 2021, the country was ranked 40th in the world for cobalt imports, at 20,950 kilograms, with Indonesia in the lead. Belgium, the United States, and Japan followed at numbers two, three, and four, respectively. Polish exports of cobalt are forecast to decrease 19 percent per year over the same period, falling to 1,030 kilograms in 2026. In 2021, Poland ranked 37th in the world for cobalt exports with 3,630 kilograms, with Romania at the top. The United States, Russia, and China were ranked second, third, and fourth, respectively. Since 1999, the country’s year-on-year supply of cobalt has grown by 2.5 percent.
