Malaysia ranked 12th in 2021, while Brazil topped the list with 1.1 million kilograms. Belgium, the US and Japan were the second, third and fourth largest importers respectively. Malaysia's export of cobalt is expected to hit 1.4 million kilograms by 2026, growing 2.4% year-on-year on average since 1995. Last year, it was the 15th largest exporter, behind the Netherlands with 1.2 million kilograms. The US, Russia and China followed respectively.
