Production of garlic in Madagascar is set to rise to around 3,350 metric tons by 2026. This would represent an average annual growth rate of 1.4% since 2021, when the country produced 3,090 metric tons. Since 1966, Malagasy garlic production has grown at a rate of 1.8% a year. In 2021, it was placed 54th in the world rankings, overtaken by Lebanon at 3,090 metric tons. India, Bangladesh and South Korea were ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
