Kyrgyzstan is set to become a major garlic producer over the next few years. By 2026, the country is expected to have produced 85,820 metric tons of garlic, up from 71,420 metric tons in 2021. This equates to an average annual growth rate of 3.1%. Since 1997, garlic production in Kyrgyzstan has grown by an average of 10.9% each year. In 2021, the country came in at 22nd in the world rankings. Nepal overtook Kyrgyzstan, producing 71,420 metric tons. India, Bangladesh and South Korea came in second, third and fourth, respectively.
