Bhutanese garlic production is expected to reach nearly 800 metric tons by 2026. In 2021, the country produced 748 metric tons, a 1.1% year-on-year average increase. However, since 2009, Bhutan has seen a yearly decrease of 8.7%. The country was ranked 80th in 2021, overtaken by Lithuania at 748 metric tons. India, Bangladesh and South Korea were 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
