Iraqi garlic production plummeted in 2021, dropping 58.8% from 1,610 metric tons in 2020 to just 665 metric tons. This marks a 24.8% decrease from 1966, when the country held the 82nd spot in global garlic production rankings. Serbia overtook Iraq in 2021, producing 665 metric tons of garlic, while India, Bangladesh and South Korea respectively ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th in garlic production.
