Ecuador's pear production is on a downward trend. Last year, the country produced 4,750 metric tons, a 3.1% decrease from 2021. This marks a 3.6% drop since 1966. The Czech Republic has surpassed Ecuador in this ranking, producing 5,720 metric tons in 2021. The United States, Argentina and Italy round out the top four producers, taking the second, third, and fourth spots respectively.
