The country's pear production is expected to reach 9,060 metric tons by then, a 2.5% increase year-on-year on average. Since 1966, the country has seen an average 8.4% year-on-year growth in pear production. In 2021, Afghanistan ranked 54th in the world, just behind Tanzania at 7,810 metric tons. The United States, Argentina and Italy were the world's top three producers, respectively.
