Austrian pear production is on the decline. By 2026, it is expected to drop 5.9% from 2021’s 44,130 metric tons to 30,120 metric tons. This is despite the 13.5% year-on-year growth since 1966. In 2021, Austria was the 29th largest producer in the world, behind Romania. The United States, Argentina and Italy followed, taking second, third and fourth place respectively.
