Ecuadorian apple consumption is expected to decline slightly this year. The country is set to consume 58.4 thousand metric tons of apples in 2026, down 0.5% from the 60 thousand metric tons consumed in 2021. Since 2017, the demand for apples in Ecuador has been decreasing by an average of 1.1% each year. This year, the country came in at number 61 in the world for apple consumption, overtaken by Turkmenistan at 60 thousand metric tons. The United States, India, and Russia respectively ranked numbers 2, 3, and 4.
