Italy is set to consume 835,000 tons of apples by 2026, a fall of just 0.1% annually since 2021, when it consumed 837,000 tons. This is down 2.2% on 2017 levels. In 2021, Italy was the 11th biggest consumer of apples in the world, overtaken by Egypt. The United States, India and Russia were the second, third and fourth largest consumers respectively.
