This year, the country is projected to consume 49 thousand metric tons of apples, while Israel leads the world with the same amount. The United States, India and Russia follow respectively in the ranking. Between 2017 and 2021, Tajikistan's consumption of apples grew by 0.7 percent year-on-year, and is projected to continue at a rate of 1.2 percent year-on-year on average until 2026, reaching 53 thousand metric tons by then.
