Consumption of apples in Ghana is on the rise. By 2026 it's expected to reach 12 thousand metric tons, growing at an average rate of 1.2 percent each year. Since 2017, the demand has increased 3.2 percent each year. In 2021, Ghana ranked 98th in the world for its apple consumption numbers. Senegal overtook Ghana in 2021, reaching 11 thousand metric tons. The United States, India, and Russia are the top three ranked countries in terms of apple consumption, respectively.
