Consumption of Russian apples is expected to drop by half a percent annually over the next five years, with 2.1 million metric tons forecasted by 2026. In 2021, Russia ranked fourth in consumption behind India, the United States and China. Since 2017, consumption of apples in Russia has decreased by 2.3 percent a year. Last year, India led the way with 2.2 million metric tons, followed by the US, China and Russia.
