Lithuanian apple consumption is set to rise in the coming years, with an average annual growth of 1.5%. In 2021, the country ranked 93rd, consuming 13,000 metric tons of apples - 6.7% less than in 2017. Kenya overtook Lithuania in 2021, consuming the same amount of apples. The United States, India and Russia topped the rankings, with consumption of 41,000, 23,000 and 16,000 metric tons, respectively.
