This was the same figure as four years earlier, in 2017. Thailand, meanwhile, overtook Finland to become the 65th largest apple-consuming nation in 2021, with 49 thousand metric tons. The United States, India and Russia came in at 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place, respectively.
