Sri Lanka is set to consume 30,000 metric tons of apples by 2026, a 0.7 percent increase from the 28,000 metric tons consumed in 2021. Since 2017, the country's apple consumption has grown year-over-year at a rate of 1.2 percent. In 2021, Sri Lanka ranked 80th in global apple consumption, with Lebanon overtaking it at 28,000 metric tons. The United States, India, and Russia took the second, third, and fourth spots, respectively.
