Drinking red wine is on the decline. In 2020, consumption of red wine was 11.5 million liters, but it's expected to drop to 10.6 million liters by 2026. That's an average annual decrease of 1.6 percent. Demand for red wine fell by a sharp 2.8 percent year-on-year in 2020. Spain, Germany and the United Kingdom were the second, third and fourth largest consumers of red wine, respectively.
