Avocado production in Ecuador is set to increase slightly over the next five years. In 2021, the country ranked 29th globally with 24,060 metric tons of production. This is 8.3% higher than the 1966 figure. Sri Lanka led the world in production with 24,410 metric tons in 2021, while the Dominican Republic, Peru and Colombia followed closely behind.
