Chile's pea consumption is set to rise by 1.2% on average each year until 2026. In 2021, the country consumed 8.38 thousand metric tons of peas, making it the 47th largest consumer in the world. Thailand was ranked higher, with 8 thousand metric tons consumed. China, Ethiopia and Bangladesh were the second, third and fourth biggest consumers respectively. Meanwhile, Chilean pea production is set to decrease by 6.5% annually until 2026. In 2021, the country produced 966 metric tons, a decline of 8.5% since 1966.
