French pea consumption is predicted to remain the same by 2026, with 18 thousand metric tons being consumed in 2021. Since 2017, France has seen no change in demand. Algeria overtook France in 2021 for the number 29 spot, with 18 thousand metric tons. China, Ethiopia and Bangladesh respectively took the 2nd, 3rd and 4th spots. French pea production is set to drop from 628.4 thousand metric tons in 2021 to 522.7 thousand metric tons by 2026. This marks a decrease of 3.1% year-on-year, but is still higher than the 2.3% annual increase since 1966.
