Korean pea production remained stable in 2019 with 7 million metric tons, a 7% increase year-on-year since 1966. Meanwhile, consumption of peas in Korea was 3 million metric tons in 2018, unchanged from the year before. This placed the country 72nd in the world ranking, behind Cameroon with 3 million tons. China, Ethiopia and Bangladesh followed at second, third and fourth respectively.
