Belize was in the 80th spot in the world ranking in 2021, with Panama coming in at 81st with 2,000 metric tons. China, Ethiopia and Bangladesh had the 2nd, 3rd and 4th highest consumption, respectively. Belizean production of peas is predicted to dip to 1,480 metric tons by 2026, 3.2% lower than in 2021. This decline has been steady since 1998, decreasing by 15.3% year on year.
