Zimbabwe's pea consumption is expected to remain stable at 2,000 metric tons over the next five years. In 2021, the country ranked 80th in pea consumption, behind Bosnia and Herzegovina, which consumed 2,000 metric tons. In the same year, China, Ethiopia and Bangladesh ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th, respectively. Since 2017, Zimbabwe's consumption of peas has increased by 26% year-on-year.
