Swedish pea consumption is expected to remain stable in the coming years. In 2021, the country consumed 13 thousand metric tons, placing it 36th in the world ranking. Norway consumed the most at 13 thousand metric tons, while China, Ethiopia and Bangladesh followed in second, third and fourth respectively. Meanwhile, Swedish pea production is expected to increase slightly, growing at an average rate of 0.9% each year from 2021 to 2026. Since 1966, however, production has decreased by 6.3%.
