Belgium's pea demand is expected to remain at 21 thousand metric tons by 2026, unchanged from 2021. The country was ranked 26th in the world for its consumption of the legume in 2021. Nepal was the leading consumer, followed by China, Ethiopia and Bangladesh. Belgian pea production, on the other hand, is predicted to decrease by 4.4% annually to reach 1,750 metric tons by 2026. Since 2005, production has been in decline by an average of 2.6% each year.
