Greek pea production is on the rise. By 2026, it is expected to reach nearly 30,000 metric tons, a 4.2% growth from 2021. Since 1966, the country has seen a 109% increase in production. In 2018, Greece consumed an estimated 1,000 metric tons of peas, a slight increase from the previous year. This placed the country in 90th place on the global list, with Zimbabwe overtaking at 1,000 metric tons. China, Ethiopia, and Bangladesh followed in second, third and fourth place, respectively.
