Since 1966, supply has been growing steadily by an average of 3.5% each year. Bulgaria's pea consumption also grew from 1,000 metric tons in 2017 to 1,000 metric tons in 2018. The country ranked 90th in the global consumption rankings in 2018, behind Jordan who consumed 1,000 metric tons of peas that year. China, Ethiopia and Bangladesh were the top three countries in terms of consumption, respectively.
