Slovene pea production is set to drop by 5.3% year-on-year between 2021 and 2026, with output falling from 956 metric tons to 697 metric tons. This marks a 10.2% decline since 1997. Slovene pea consumption stood at 2,000 metric tons in 2018, up from the 2017 total of 2,000 metric tons. This placed Slovenia as the 80th largest consumer of peas in the world. Oman was the largest consumer, followed by China, Ethiopia and Bangladesh.
