Moldavian pea production is expected to rise steadily over the next five years. By 2026, it is projected to reach 40,620 metric tons, a 1.7% average year-on-year increase from the 2021 level of 36,850 metric tons. Since 1997, Moldavian production has grown at a rate of 6.7% per year. Moldavian pea consumption stood at around 3,000 metric tons in 2018, similar to the level of 2017. This placed Moldavia at number 72 globally. South Korea topped the list with 3,000 metric tons, followed by China, Ethiopia and Bangladesh.
