Oman's pea consumption is set to rise over the next five years. In 2021, the country consumed 2 thousand metric tons of peas, and this figure is expected to reach 2.4 thousand metric tons by 2026, growing at an average rate of 2.7% each year. Since 2017, Omani demand for peas has remained steady. In 2021, the country was ranked 80th in the world for pea consumption. Uruguay was just ahead at 2 thousand metric tons, while China, Ethiopia and Bangladesh ranked second, third and fourth, respectively.
