Cuban soybean consumption totalled 5,000 metric tons in 2021, a 28.6% drop from the 7,000 metric tons of the previous year. Since 2017, demand for the legume has been down 10.6% year-on-year. With its 5,000 metric tons, Cuba trailed in at 40th place in the list of global consumers, with Saudi Arabia overtaking it at 5,000 metric tons. Vietnam, Japan and Pakistan followed in second, third and fourth place respectively.
