By 2026, Costa Rica's soybean consumption is projected to reach 13 thousand metric tons, up from 10 thousand metric tons in 2021. This growth of 3.4% year-on-year, however, is slower than the rate of growth seen between 2017 and 2021, which was 3.1%. In 2021, the country ranked 32nd in soybean consumption, with Cameroon overtaking it with 10 thousand metric tons. Vietnam, Japan and Pakistan were ranked second, third and fourth respectively.
