Panamanian soybean consumption is set to remain stable over the next five years, according to estimates. In 2021, the country was ranked 33rd in the world, with an estimated 9 thousand metric tons consumed. Costa Rica ranked one place higher with the same amount. Vietnam, Japan, and Pakistan were the top three consumers, in that order. In contrast, Panamanian soybean production is projected to fall by 12.2% year-on-year between 2021 and 2026. The country was ranked 89th in the world in 2021, producing just 40 metric tons. Madagascar was ahead with the same amount. The United States, Argentina, and China were the top three producers, in that order.
