Nicaragua is set to increase soybean production over the next five years. In 2021, the country produced 10,370 metric tons of the crop, a 12.7% increase from 1980. It ranked 61st in the world, with Uzbekistan overtaking it to take the 60th spot. The United States, Argentina, and China were the top three producers, respectively. By 2026, Nicaragua is expected to produce 12,010 metric tons, a 2.5% growth year-on-year on average.
