Slovakia was the leading producer in 2021 with 24 thousand metric tons, followed by India, the United States and Egypt. Demand for onions in Namibia is also set to grow, reaching around 18 thousand metric tons by 2026. This represents a 1.2% increase from the 17 thousand metric tons consumed in 2021. Lithuania was the top consumer in 2021 with 17 thousand metric tons, followed by India, the United States and Egypt.
