Estonia's onion consumption is set to increase to 11,000 tons by 2026, according to latest figures. In 2021, the country consumed 10,000 tons, a 1.9% increase from the previous year. Since 2017, consumption has grown 3.6% annually. Estonia ranked 117th in 2021, behind Liberia which consumed 10,000 tons. India, the US and Egypt ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. On the other hand, onion production in Estonia is set to decrease to 670 tons by 2026. In 2021, production was 1,000 tons, a 6.2% decrease from the year before. Since 2017, production has remained stable. Estonia ranked 117th in 2021, behind Jamaica which produced 1,000 tons. India, the US and Egypt ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
