Consumption of Bosnian onions is also predicted to grow, with 47 thousand metric tons anticipated for 2026. This is a 0.4% year-on-year average rate since 2017. In 2021, Bosnia was 85th in onion consumption, behind Nicaragua with 45 thousand metric tons. India, the United States and Egypt took the top three spots.
