Czech onion production is set to rise marginally in the next five years. In 2021, the country produced 38 thousand metric tons, up 0.9% from 2017. This placed them 81st in the world rankings, just behind Zambia, who produced 38.2 thousand metric tons. India, the United States and Egypt occupied the top three spots respectively. Czech onion consumption is predicted to remain at 98 thousand metric tons through to 2026. This represents a 0.7% year-on-year increase since 2017. In 2021, the country came in 64th in the world rankings, just behind Kuwait, who consumed 98 thousand metric tons. India, the United States and Egypt once again occupied the top three spots.
