Peruvian chickpea production declined 20% this year to 530 metric tons, down from 666 metric tons in 2020. Despite this decrease, overall supply has risen 1.5% annually since 1966. Peru ranked 44th this year, while Kenya overtook with 532 metric tons. Myanmar, Russia and Ethiopia followed in 2nd, 3rd and 4th place respectively.
